Sol Mindfulness

Sol Mindfulness is an app offering live, guided video storytelling circles where members connect, inspire, and transform through shared stories.

These intimate sessions, accommodating up to six participants, provide a judgment-free space with flexible scheduling.

The platform has been a women-only space since 2020 and is now beta-testing mixed circles for all.

Members report feeling more connected and supported after participating, with 96% feeling more connected and less alone after a circle.

DRAFTING PROMPTS FOR A STORYTELLING CIRCLE

The drafting of prompts to inspire storytelling circles and help people find their own story was one of the tasks I carried out for Sol Mindfulness.

The goal was to identify themes that people could relate to and, above all, to encourage the sharing and listening of varied and diverse experiences.

The prompts were designed with key objectives in mind, including:

  • being integrated into a meditation process and thus being welcoming,

  • being respectful of various cultures and traditions,

  • providing guidance on how to tell one’s story to ensure a meaningful circle experience.

PROMPTS EXAMPLES

HOME_

Today, we’re sharing stories about Home. What does the word “home” say to you?

Maybe your story is rooted in a childhood memory—perhaps the first time you truly felt the space of your own room, decorating it to reflect yourself, or playing at “building” it with blankets and anything else you could find.

Or maybe your story about Home comes from your adolescence, when you began finding a sense of Home in your friends’ houses, or discovering new places with them—perhaps a park, a street, or a favorite café where you spent so much of your time.

Perhaps your story about Home is connected to a person who makes you feel at ease, like a partner, a friend, a parent, or even a stranger who left a lasting impression.

Maybe Home for you is tied to an animal—a dog, a cat, or another companion. It could be about the bond you share, or a moment where their presence made you feel safe and grounded.

Or perhaps Home comes through food—a meal that instantly brings you back to a place of comfort. Maybe it’s a memory of eating something that reminded you of Home when you felt far away from it.

Your story might be about leaving your parents’ house and moving into your own space—whether alone or with others. It could be about realizing that Home isn’t just a location, but a collection of things that make you feel at ease: a pillow, a favorite mug, a plant, a poster, or a candle.

Maybe your story is about constantly moving and learning how to carry a sense of Home with you. It could involve rituals you’ve created to feel grounded, no matter where you are—like meditating, playing an instrument, or keeping a cherished book close by.

So, what’s your story about Home? Think about how it begins, how it unfolds, and how it ends. Who are the characters involved? What has the woman you are today learned from it? Or what are you still learning, or hoping to discover?

Take a moment to sink into your memories and find your story about Home.

WATER_

Today, we’re sharing stories about Water. What does the word "water" mean to you?

Maybe your story about water begins with the first time you discovered the sea—learning to swim, playing in it, exploring it, or perhaps traveling on it and experiencing what it feels like to be suspended above the ground. What was that first sensation like?

Perhaps your story is about the stillness of a lake—maybe you sat around a campfire with friends, sharing stories and singing together. Or maybe your story takes place during a hike by a river, where you experienced water as a force in constant motion—always changing, always renewing itself.

Maybe your connection to water is tied to the rain. Perhaps it’s a memory of enjoying a rainy day, wrapped in a blanket in your bed, or maybe it’s a story of finding yourself caught in a storm, feeling either exhilarated by it or overwhelmed.

Your story might also be more practical—maybe you’ve faced a shortage of water and had to figure out how to manage that situation, or maybe you witnessed water scarcity and reflected on how deeply dependent we are on it. It could have been a moment that made you realize how important it is to appreciate water and avoid wasting it.

Or perhaps your story is about fear—maybe you had a traumatic experience involving water, and now it’s difficult to reconnect with it.

Alternatively, your story could be more spiritual—maybe it’s about “rising” from water, about a sacred moment when you felt deeply connected to yourself, to nature, and to the world around you.

What is your story about Water? Think about how it begins, how it unfolds, and how it ends. Who were the characters involved? What has the woman you are today learned from it? Or what are you still learning, or hoping to discover?

Take a moment to dive into your memories and find your story about Water.

A RADIO BROADCAST TO SHARE INSPIRING STORIES

My work as a sound designer for Sol Mindfulness revolved around a sound exploration during the beta testing phase of the app.

Through the creation of a radio broadcast featuring inspiring stories from community members, we offered guided sound meditations led by the voice of the founder and CEO Chloë Drimal, accompanied by ambient sounds crafted by me.
